Pocket AM FM Radio

The TRELC T-08 is a compact transistor radio that receives AM and FM broadcasts. It measures 5.0 in x 2.8 in x 1.4 in and weighs 4.5 ounces. A back clip and lanyard are included for attaching the unit to clothing or a bag. It runs on two AA batteries which are not supplied.

DSP Chip With Telescopic Antenna

Reception covers FM 87-108MHz and AM 520-1710kHz through an extended rotating telescopic antenna. A built-in DSP chip provides noise reduction and anti-interference capability for more stable signals indoors and outdoors. The tuner picks up both bands without an external power adapter.

Listeners Wanting Simple Portable Audio

Walkers, campers and travellers who need a lightweight radio for news, music or emergency updates will find the size and battery operation convenient. Buyers who want more storage for recorded programmes or builders who need a second card for stereo separation should look at something else.

Questions about this item

How well does the 5.0 in x 2.8 in x 1.4 in size actually fit in a pocket or on a belt clip?

At 5.0 by 2.8 by 1.4 inches and 4.5 ounces it slides into a shirt pocket or small pack easily, and the included back clip plus lanyard keep it secure while walking or running.

What stations can the AM 520–1710 kHz and FM 87–108 MHz tuner actually pull in with the telescopic antenna?

The DSP chip and extendable rotating antenna give stable reception across the full AM band from 520 to 1710 kHz and FM band from 87 to 108 MHz, indoors or out.

Does the 3.5 mm headphone jack mute the built-in speaker when headphones are plugged in?

Yes, inserting a 3.5 mm headphone plug switches audio to the headphones for private listening; removing it returns sound to the internal magnetic speaker.
