Connects two computers to one DisplayPort monitor at up to 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz with a four-port USB 3.0 hub and push-button switching
This TRENDnet KVMSW0001 KVM switch lets you control two computers with one keyboard, one mouse and a single DisplayPort monitor. It supports resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz when the source, display and cables all match those capabilities. A built-in four-port USB 3.0 hub shares peripherals between both systems at up to 5 Gbps.
The switch suits professionals and enthusiasts who run two PCs side by side and want instant, clutter-free switching via front-panel push buttons or the included external control kit. It does not support hotkey switching, so buyers who rely on keyboard shortcuts to change inputs should look at a different model.
Connect each computer with its own DisplayPort 1.4 cable and USB link; the switch draws power from the USB connections so no separate adapter is required. The four USB 3.0 ports free up ports on the computers themselves, letting keyboards, mice, drives and webcams stay plugged into the KVM. The unit measures 14.33in wide by 12.83in high by 9.06in deep.

The switch supports up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz over DisplayPort 1.4; both connected computers and the single monitor must also support those resolutions and be linked with certified DisplayPort 1.4 cables.
Yes, the hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, so existing peripherals will work while still providing up to 5 Gbps bandwidth for any USB 3.0 drives or webcams you add later.
The active-computer LED on the front panel lights for the selected port, and the monitor instantly shows the second system’s desktop while the shared keyboard, mouse and USB devices follow the switch.
