The TRENDnet TEW-740APBO2K bundles two 10 dBi Wireless N300 outdoor PoE access points that arrive pre-configured for point-to-point bridging. Each unit operates on the 2.4 GHz band with data rates up to 300 Mbps and supports AP, WDS, Repeater, and Wireless Client modes. The IP67 rated housing with integrated directional sector antenna is built for building-to-building links in harsh environments.

Power and cabling checks

Verify that the proprietary PoE injectors supplied with the kit can reach each mounting location within the 60 m (197 ft.) maximum cable length for the LAN1 port. The injectors require a 100 - 220V AC supply and deliver 12V DC at 1A over a single Ethernet cable. Ensure both sites have a grounded AC outlet and that the included grounding wires are attached to the mounting hardware for lightning protection.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous traffic the radios transmit at up to 28 dBm (FCC) or 10.6 dBm (CE) with receiver sensitivity of -69 dBm at 300 Mbps. The units are rated for operation from -22° to 60° C with humidity up to 99 % non-condensing.
