A 2-port USB KVM switch lets you control two computers from one keyboard, monitor and mouse, supports 2048 x 1536 at 60 Hz, includes all cables and draws power from the connected PCs
The TRENDnet TK-207K lets operators control two computers from a single keyboard, monitor and mouse. It is suited for compact workstations, test benches or server racks where desk space is limited and rapid switching between systems is required. All necessary cabling is supplied in the box so the switch can be deployed immediately.
The unit draws power directly from the connected USB ports, removing the need for an external adapter and reducing cable clutter. Switching is performed by a front-panel button or hot-key sequence, with auto-scan and audible feedback confirming each change. Video output supports 2048 x 1536 resolution at 60Hz for a crisp display during normal use.
Each computer connects through a combined VGA and USB cable set that carries video, keyboard, mouse and power signals. The bus-powered design frees an outlet and simplifies rack or under-desk routing. Buyers who need to manage more than two systems, or who require digital video inputs such as HDMI or DisplayPort, will need a different solution.

Connect the included KVM cables to each computer's VGA and USB ports, then attach your monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the console ports. The step often missed is that the switch draws power from the USB connections, so both computers must be powered on for the switch to function.
The unit has no user-serviceable parts and requires no routine maintenance. If a cable becomes damaged, the integrated KVM cables would need replacement as a set, since they are permanently attached to the switch body.
The 60 Hz refresh rate is the fixed ceiling; the switch cannot pass a higher refresh rate at that resolution. Under sustained use, the bus-powered design may also become unstable if a connected computer's USB port enters a low-power state.
