Dual DisplayPort KVM for Two Computers

The TRENDnet TK-240DP is a 2-port KVM switch that lets one keyboard, mouse and dual DisplayPort 1.2 monitors control two computers. It supports 4K UHD resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz and 2560 x 1440 at 144 Hz. A built-in two-port USB 2.0 hub shares storage drives or printers between the connected systems, and 3.5 mm speaker and microphone jacks pass audio through to the console.

Suits dual-monitor workstations.

This switch is built for users who run two DisplayPort 1.2 monitors on each computer and need to toggle between them with push buttons or hotkeys. It requires separate DisplayPort, USB and audio cable kits for each computer connection, so buyers without those cables must source them separately. It does not support HDMI, DVI or single-monitor configurations, and the USB hub is limited to USB 2.0 speeds.

Dual DisplayPort 1.2 video input decides

Each computer must provide two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs to drive both monitors at the stated resolutions. The console side also uses two DisplayPort 1.2 inputs, so graphics hardware and cabling must match that interface exactly. If a system only offers HDMI, USB-C video or a single DisplayPort, this KVM will not work without active adapters that are not included or specified.
