Portable DVD Player with ATSC TV

The Trexonic TR-D133PUR is a 13.3 inch portable DVD player that integrates an ATSC TV tuner and FM radio for over-the-air broadcasts. It features a colour TFT LED screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution that swivels 90 degrees left and 180 degrees right. The unit is designed for travellers and families wanting disc and broadcast entertainment on the move.

Connectivity Limits and Power

Media playback relies on physical discs, USB drives or the built-in ATSC tuner because the specifications list no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or streaming apps. Video output is restricted to the supplied AV and HDMI cables for connection to an external display. A Li-Polymer rechargeable battery powers the unit away from mains sockets, while the included car charger allows recharging from a vehicle 12 V socket.

Screen Size and Battery Headroom

The 13.3 inch panel with its 12.5 inch viewable area and 1280 x 800 resolution comfortably handles standard-definition DVD video and ATSC HD digital signals. Battery run-time will vary with screen brightness and volume, so very long journeys may require the car charger or AC adapter to keep the player operating. The package includes an active TV antenna, remote control, earphones and a carry handbag for complete portable use.

Questions about this item

They refer to the same screen; 13.3 inch is the diagonal measurement while 12.5 inch describes the visible width of the TFT LED panel.

What does the 1280 x 800 resolution mean for movie playback on this player?

The 1280 by 800 pixel grid renders DVD content and ATSC HD signals with clear detail on the swivel screen.

What does the HD input actually support on this device?

The HDMI connection accepts external 1280 x 800 sources and the HI-In function allows the screen to act as a monitor.
