Compact Bookshelf Pair for Small Rooms

The Triangle Esprit Titus Ez is a pair of compact bookshelf speakers measuring 30 cm tall and 17 cm wide. They are built for stereo listening or front-channel duties in rooms between 8 and 20 square metres. The white high-gloss finish suits modern interiors without dominating the space.

Step Up From Basic Desktop Speakers

These replace entry-level computer speakers or all-in-one soundbars when a listener wants genuine stereo imaging and a wider frequency range of 47 Hz to 22 kHz. The jump is worth it for music lovers who hear compression artefacts on small drivers and want the 13 cm natural cellulose mid-woofer to reveal more texture.

90 W Handling With Rear Port Bass Extension

The 90 W power rating gives comfortable headroom for dynamic peaks in orchestral passages or film soundtracks at moderate listening levels. The rear-firing port extends low-frequency response down to 47 Hz, though output drops off below that point. In larger rooms beyond 20 square metres the bass may feel lightweight compared with floorstanding models.

Questions about this item

What room size and rear clearance does the 30 cm tall Titus Ez need for its bass reflex port?

Triangle recommends rooms of 8 to 20 sq m; leave a few centimetres behind each speaker so the rear port can breathe.

How do I connect speaker cable to the Titus Ez terminals, and what polarity mistake should I avoid?

Use the binding posts on the rear panel; tighten each post so the bare wire or banana plug is secure, and match red to red and black to black on both speakers and amplifier.

Which driver will need attention first, and what is the only safe way to replace it?

The 13 cm mid-woofer or TZ2550A tweeter may eventually wear; only Triangle or an authorised service centre should replace either driver to preserve the crossover alignment.
