It lets administrators control up to eight local servers directly from the rack and stores away when not in use. The unit ships with eight PS/2-USB combo cables so each server can be connected without extra adapters.

1280 x 1024 LCD and 256-port expansion

The built-in 19-inch LCD displays up to 1280 x 1024 resolution, giving clear text for BIOS screens and OS administration. Eight local ports are available immediately, and the switch can be daisy-chained with up to 31 additional B022-U08 units to reach 256 connected computers. Bandwidth is rated at 17.00 to support the panel's native resolution without visible degradation.

PS/2-USB combo cabling and IP add-on

Each of the eight included cables terminates in both PS/2 and USB plugs, so mixed-generation servers are supported from one cable kit. Rear-panel HD15 and dual PS/2 ports accept a B051-000 IP remote-access module for out-of-band management, while front USB ports allow a separate mouse or flash drive. The 18-pin HD-18 console connector carries keyboard, mouse and video in a single link.
