8-Port DisplayPort KVM for Server Rooms

The Tripp Lite B024-DPU08 connects up to eight DisplayPort computers to a single console. It supports 4096 x 2160 video at 60 Hz and stereo audio switching. Administrators can switch ports via front push buttons, keyboard hot keys or an on-screen display. The 1U rackmount chassis fits standard server cabinets for dense deployments.

Rackmount Build with External Power

A metal 1U enclosure houses eight DisplayPort inputs, eight USB-B upstream ports and eight 3.5 mm audio jacks on the rear. The console side provides one DisplayPort output, two USB-A ports for keyboard and mouse and one 3.5 mm audio jack. An external 12 V 3.33 A supply with a 1.2 m cord powers the unit from 100-250 V mains. Two DisplayPort 1.4 cables, two USB 3.0 A-to-B cables and two audio cables are included.

Replaces Multiple Consoles in Dense Racks

The switch consolidates eight separate monitor, keyboard and mouse sets into one workstation, saving rack space and reducing cable clutter. Daisy-chaining compatible units expands control to 128 systems from the original console. The upgrade is worthwhile when operators manage several DisplayPort servers and need instant, latency-free switching without software agents. It does not suit buyers who need HDMI or VGA sources or who require USB-C video input.
