USB Server Interface Module

The Tripp Lite B055-001-USB-V2 connects a USB computer or server to a B064-IPG Series NetDirector KVM switch using Cat5e/6 cable. It provides the connected system with access to Virtual Media functionality. The compact, lightweight design eliminates the need for thicker, heavier traditional KVM cable kits. No software or external power supply is required for operation.

Cat5e/6 Connectivity up to 164 ft

A single RJ45 female connector links the module to the switch over standard Cat5e or Cat6 cabling at distances up to 164 ft (50 m). This interface supports one target server per module and delivers Virtual Media capability across that link. It does not suit installations requiring longer cable runs or connections to non-B064-IPG switch models.

Passive Operation with No Power Draw

The unit operates entirely from the KVM switch connection and draws no separate power. Plug-and-play deployment means no drivers or configuration utilities are needed. Silent, passive thermals add no heat or noise to the rack environment. Buyers needing integrated power or active signal extension should look elsewhere.
