16-Port Cat5 KVM Switch with IP Remote Access

This 1U rack-mount KVM switch controls up to 16 servers locally or over the network. It supports one local user and two simultaneous remote users for independent access. Cat5 cabling connects servers up to 100 ft from the switch. The unit accepts universal AC input from 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz.

Cat5 Cabling Distance and Video Resolution Limits

Connected servers must sit within 100 ft of the switch when using Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6a cables. The video output is limited to 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz. Each server requires a compatible Server Interface Unit (USB or PS/2) to link to the RJ45 ports. Virtual media transfer rates reach 12 Mbps only with the USB2 interface module.

2+1 Simultaneous User Capacity

The defining specification is the ability to host three independent users at once: one at the local console and two over IP. Buyers who need more than two concurrent remote sessions cannot use this switch. Serial ports are included for managing devices such as PDUs and routers alongside the servers.
