The Tripp Lite B122-000-60 extends an HDMI signal up to 150 feet from the source while maintaining 1080p resolution at 60Hz. It uses female HDMI connectors on both ends to join standard cables. The unit is HDCP compliant and supports 3D and Blu-ray content. Installers use it in home or business theater runs that exceed the standard five-metre cable limit.

Capacity and Headroom at 150 Feet

At 1080p 60Hz or 1920 x 1200 the extender reaches the full 150-foot distance. The same range applies to 1080i, 1440 x 900, 1024 x 768 and 640 x 480 signals. Lower resolutions such as 480p and 480i push slightly further to 154 feet. Beyond 75 feet at the top resolution the manufacturer recommends Cat5e or Cat6 cable instead of standard HDMI leads.

Passive Operation with External Power

The extender draws power from an included AC supply and adds no active cooling of its own. Because it contains no fan, it runs silently in rack or wall-plate locations.
