1U Rack/Tower UPS

The BC1500RT1ULNC is a 1440 VA, 1050 W lithium-ion battery backup built for 120 V single-phase environments. Its 1U form factor fits standard racks or stands upright as a tower, making it suitable for network closets, edge sites and remote installations where floor space is limited.

Six NEMA 5-15R outlets and USB plus RJ-45 ports

Six NEMA 5-15R receptacles accept standard North American plugs directly. A USB port and an RJ-45 network interface enable local and cloud-based monitoring through the Brightlayer app, while optional wall-mount brackets allow the unit to be secured vertically when rack space is unavailable.

Replaces larger lead-acid units needing faster

The lithium-ion pack recharges in eight hours and delivers two minutes at full load or twelve minutes at half load, cutting downtime compared with traditional batteries that require longer recharge cycles. The swap makes sense when a compact footprint, quicker recovery and remote cloud management outweigh the shorter runtime of a larger legacy UPS.

Questions about this item

Does the USB or RJ-45 network port limit how fast the UPS can report status to Brightlayer?

Both ports feed data to the Brightlayer cloud app; the USB link is typically faster for local polling while the RJ-45 connection handles network-based alerts and remote shutdown commands.

What clearance does the 1U rack/tower chassis need for the NEMA 5-15P plug and six NEMA 5-15R outlets?

Allow at least 45 mm behind the rear panel for the input cord and outlet cables; the 1U height fits standard 45 mm rack spacing without extra brackets.

How do I pair the UPS with the Brightlayer cloud app without skipping the firmware check?

Scan the QR code on the front panel, install the app, create an account, then follow the on-screen prompt to update firmware before adding the device to your dashboard.
