A 5 ft Cat5e patch cable with moulded RJ45 connectors rated for 350 MHz and 1 Gbps Ethernet
This five-foot Cat5e patch cable uses four-pair stranded UTP with moulded RJ45 connectors and integral strain relief. It is rated for 350 MHz bandwidth and supports 1000Base-T gigabit Ethernet alongside 10/100Base-T, 100 Mbps TPDDI, 155 Mbps ATM, ISDN, voice and Token Ring applications.
The cable meets IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.5, ANSI/EIA/TIA 568, ISO/IEC 11801 and ETL category 5e draft 11 requirements. Builders needing 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps or 10 Gbps throughput, or Type 3 and Type 4 PoE power budgets, should select a Cat6 or higher specification instead.
The 350 MHz rating is the single figure that confirms the cable can carry gigabit Ethernet at this length. If the installation requires higher frequencies for multi-gigabit speeds, this Cat5e construction will not meet that need.

No. A passive copper patch cord has no active components, so it produces zero heat and no audible noise at any supported speed.
Both ends need an RJ45 jack — typical examples are a router, switch, PC network card, NAS, IP camera or any 10/100/1000Base-T equipment.
Yes. The cable meets Cat5e specs and supports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and 1000Base-T, so legacy 10/100 devices connect without configuration.
