Product Identity

The Tripp Lite N002-010-GY is a 10 ft gray Cat5e patch cable built for standard Ethernet connections. It carries two RJ45 male connectors and supports 350 MHz bandwidth for 1 Gbps data rates. The stranded UTP construction suits typical office or home network runs.

Installation Notes

The cable plugs directly into any RJ45 port without tools and the molded boots include integral strain relief. Snagless variants exist in the same range if latch protection is a priority. The stranded conductors tolerate repeated bending better than solid-core cable but are not rated for in-wall or plenum use.

Deciding Specification

The 350 MHz / 1 Gbps rating determines whether this cable meets the speed requirement for the link. It is not for buyers who need 10 Gbps or certified Cat6a performance. The 10 ft length fixes the maximum reach between devices.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 350 MHz / 1 Gbps link is active after connecting the RJ45 plugs?

Check the link lights on both network ports; a steady or blinking LED indicates the 350 MHz rated connection is passing 1 Gbps traffic.

What connectors and cable construction come in the box, and what must I supply separately?

The box contains the 10 ft gray Cat5e patch cable with two molded RJ45 male plugs and integral strain relief; no additional parts are required for a standard Ethernet link.

Which length or color version of the N002-010-GY should I choose for a 10-foot gray run?

Select the N002-010-GY model — it is the 10 ft gray variant; other lengths and colors carry different part numbers.
