Product Identity

The Tripp Lite N002-025-GY is a 25 ft Cat5e Ethernet patch cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends. It is built for standard wired network connections in home or office environments. The grey jacket is moulded for strain relief and the cable is rated at 350 MHz bandwidth.

Who It Suits

This cable suits anyone needing a 25 ft grey Cat5e link between a router, switch, PC, printer or other RJ-45 device. It is not for installers who require a different length, a different jacket colour, a higher category rating such as Cat6 or Cat6a, or a cable without pre-terminated connectors.

Deciding Specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 350 MHz Cat5e rating. This defines the maximum bandwidth the cable is tested to deliver. Match this figure to the speed and distance requirements of your network plan before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How does the 350 MHz rating affect performance in a real network?

The 350 MHz bandwidth supports the full Cat5e specification so the cable can carry gigabit Ethernet speeds over its entire 25 ft length.

What does the RJ45 connector limit in practice?

The RJ45 plugs are wired to the Cat5e standard so the link is capped at 1 Gbps regardless of the switch or router on either end.

Will the 25 ft cable reach between my wall jack and desktop without strain?

At 25 ft the cable spans a typical room; the molded boots protect the plugs while the stranded conductors keep the run flexible for routing around corners.
