Cat6 Gigabit patch cable for dense installs

This 15 ft black Cat6 UTP cable uses RJ45 male connectors on both ends to link printers, computers, routers, servers, modems and switches at 1 Gbps. Its slim profile suits high-density racks and workstations where space is limited. Builders running standard-thickness cable in tight trays will find this easier to route.

Over 38% slimmer than standard Cat6 for airflow

The reduced diameter improves airflow in full racks and simplifies routing around corners or through crowded cable management panels. Snagless moulded boots protect the locking tabs from damage during repeated insertions. Installers who need a rugged outdoor or armoured jacket should choose a different cable type.

15 ft length fixes reach between rack and device

The fixed 15-foot run determines whether the cable spans the gap between a patch panel and a switch or a wall jack and a desktop. Buyers needing a shorter or longer drop must select a different length.

Questions about this item

Does the Cat6 rating cap real-world throughput at one gigabit per second?

The Cat6 UTP patch cord is rated for high-speed 1 Gbps communications, so gigabit Ethernet is the practical ceiling for this 15-foot cable.

Will the slim 38%-thinner diameter fit through my crowded 45-degree cable management panels?

The cable is over 38% slimmer than standard Cat6, making it easier to route around corners and through dense cable management panels.

How do I install the snagless RJ45 connectors without breaking the locking tabs?

Align the snagless boot with the port, push straight in until the tab clicks, and pull the cable body — not the tab — to remove it.
