Shielded Cat6a patch cord rated for 10 Gbps with PoE support and snagless RJ45 connectors
This shielded Cat6a patch cord carries 10 Gbps data over a 15 ft (4.57 m) run. Snagless RJ45 connectors protect the locking tabs during repeated insertions. The cable supports Power over Ethernet so compatible devices draw power through the same link. Blue jacket colour helps identify the run in a busy rack or patch panel.
Builders who need longer reach than 15 ft or a different colour for cable management should choose another length. Installations that require unshielded UTP cable or a lower category such as Cat5e will not match this specification. The fixed 15 ft length cannot be adjusted on site.
The cable is tested to 500 MHz, which is the figure that qualifies it for 10 Gbps operation over the full 15 ft distance. Lower-rated cables cannot guarantee that throughput.

The cable is passive copper; it carries 10 Gbps signals and PoE current without active components, so it adds no measurable heat or power draw beyond the PoE load itself.
You need 10GBase-T ports on both ends — such as a 10 Gbps switch, router or NIC — and a PoE-capable switch or injector if you want to power devices through the cable.
Yes; the cable is backward compatible and will negotiate Gigabit speeds on Cat5e hardware, while its STP construction still rejects EMI/RFI on the link.
