Cat6a 10G Shielded Cable

This 7 ft Cat6a cable carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet with shielded twisted-pair construction and snagless RJ45 connectors. It supports Power over Ethernet so compatible cameras, phones and access points receive power through the same run. The aqua jacket identifies the cable in dense patch fields. Slim profile improves airflow in crowded racks.

Dense Rack Installers

Technicians wiring servers, switches and PoE devices in high-density closets will value the thin diameter and shielded performance. Buyers who need longer runs for building-wide distribution should select a different length. Installers requiring unshielded cable for simpler termination should look elsewhere. Outdoor or direct-burial projects need a cable rated for that environment.

7 ft Length

The fixed 7 ft length determines whether the cable reaches between your patch panel and equipment without excess slack or tension. Measure the exact path before ordering. No other dimension in the specification affects fit.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 7 ft aqua cable or a different length for my rack?

The 7 ft (2.1 m) aqua Cat6a cable suits short rack runs; choose a longer version only if the distance between ports exceeds 7 ft.

Will this Cat6a cable actually deliver 10 Gbps on my switch ports?

The Cat6a rating supports 10 Gbps Ethernet up to the full 7 ft length, so any compliant 10GBASE-T port will negotiate the full speed.

Does the RJ45 shielded connector work with standard keystone jacks and PoE gear?

Yes, the shielded RJ45 male ends fit standard keystone jacks and carry PoE power alongside data without extra wiring.
