What this cable does

This 3 ft Cat8 patch cable is built for 25 Gbps and 40 Gbps Ethernet links and supports Power over Ethernet so compatible devices can draw power through the same run. The F/STP shielding and 22 AWG conductors reduce EMI and RFI noise in dense installations.

Who should buy it — and who should not

It suits installers wiring 25G or 40G switches, routers, servers or PoE endpoints such as cameras and access points where a short, shielded run is required. Buyers needing longer distances for 25G or 40G service or those whose equipment only negotiates lower speeds will not benefit from this category.

The spec that decides fit

The cable is certified for 40 Gbps data rates and 2000 MHz bandwidth, so it matches hardware that negotiates 25GBASE-T or 40GBASE-T over copper. If the connected ports do not support those speeds, the extra headroom goes unused.

Questions about this item

How do I choose the right length for my setup?

This cable is 3 ft long; select it when you need a short patch between devices that sit close together.

What does the 40 Gbps rating mean in daily use?

It delivers up to 40 Gbps throughput with 2000 MHz bandwidth, so 25 Gbps and 40 Gbps links run at full speed without bottlenecks.

Does the Cat8 shielded design limit PoE power delivery?

No — the 22 AWG S/FTP construction carries both 40 Gbps data and PoE power simultaneously, letting you power cameras or VoIP phones over the same run.
