DisplayPort 1.2 cable with latches

This six-foot DisplayPort cable carries digital video and audio between a computer and a monitor or home-theatre display. It supports DisplayPort version 1.2 and resolutions up to 3840 by 2160 at 1080p and higher. The locking connectors prevent accidental disconnection during use.

Users needing a direct DisplayPort link

Suitable for anyone connecting a DisplayPort source to a DisplayPort display at up to 4K resolution. Not suited for buyers who need a longer reach than six feet, or who require adapters for HDMI, DVI or VGA ports.

DisplayPort 1.2 and 3840 x 2160 support

The cable meets the DisplayPort 1.2 specification and handles Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 video. This single specification determines whether the cable matches the resolution and refresh-rate needs of the display being driven.

Questions about this item

Will the 3840 x 2160 resolution work on my 4K monitor at 60 Hz?

Yes, the cable supports UHD 4K x 2K up to 3840 x 2160, which includes 1080p, so a 4K 60 Hz signal passes through the 6 ft link.

Does the DisplayPort 1.2 label limit the bandwidth or features I can use?

The cable is built to the 1.2 standard, so it carries the full 1.2 bandwidth for 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, plus HDCP and combined digital video and audio.

How much space do the latches add behind the monitor?

The connectors are standard DisplayPort male plugs with integrated latches; they need only the usual port depth plus a small clearance for the latch release tab.
