Two-cable kit for dual-monitor KVM setups

This Tripp Lite kit bundles a P783-006-DP KVM cable and a P580-006 DisplayPort cable, each 6 ft long. It is built for users connecting a single computer with two DisplayPort monitors to a compatible Tripp Lite NIAP KVM switch. The combination reduces cable clutter by integrating video, USB and audio links in one package.

Straightforward connection with matched lengths

Both cables use male connectors on each end, so they plug directly into the computer, monitors and KVM switch without adapters. The P783-006-DP carries DisplayPort video, USB Type A to Type B data and 3.5 mm audio simultaneously. The separate P580-006 handles the second monitor’s DisplayPort link. Routing two 6 ft cables together keeps runs tidy, though tight bends near ports should be avoided to prevent strain on the combined connectors.

Dual DisplayPort 1.2 at 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4

The kit supports video up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with true 4:4:4 chroma subsampling under DisplayPort 1.2 and HDCP 2.2. USB 2.0 data runs at 480 Mbps through the KVM cable. If your workflow needs higher refresh rates, deeper colour or USB 3.x speeds, this kit will not meet those requirements.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the P783-006-DP kit is working correctly after connecting it to my KVM switch?

Verify both DisplayPort monitors show 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma, USB peripherals respond at 480 Mbps, and audio plays through the 3.5 mm jacks without HDCP 2.2 errors.

What cables are included in the P783-006-DP box and what must I provide separately?

The box contains the P783-006 KVM cable with DisplayPort, USB Type A, USB Type B and 3.5 mm audio connectors on both ends, plus the P580-006 DisplayPort male-to-male cable. You must supply a compatible Tripp Lite NIAP KVM switch and two DisplayPort monitors.

Which kit should I choose if I need to connect two 4K monitors at 60 Hz to a Tripp Lite B002-DP2A4 NIAP KVM?

Select the P783-006-DP kit; its P783-006 cable and P580-006 cable together support DisplayPort 1.2, HDCP 2.2 and 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz for dual-monitor operation on that KVM.
