Double-conversion UPS delivers 2200 VA and 1980 W with selectable 200–240 V output in a 2U rackmount chassis
The Tripp Lite SmartOnline is a 2U rackmount uninterruptible power supply rated at 2200VA and 1980W. It uses online double-conversion topology to deliver clean sine-wave output at 200, 208, 220, 230 or 240 volts. The unit suits server rooms and network closets that require continuous power conditioning from a new, standards-compliant device. It is not for buyers who need a lower-capacity desktop model or a tower form factor.
Under continuous load the double-conversion architecture regenerates output voltage from the battery inverter at all times, isolating connected equipment from input fluctuations. The LCD panel reports real-time status while the unit maintains regulated 200 to 240 volt output without switching delays. This design supports steady-state operation for critical servers and storage arrays. It does not suit installations that can tolerate brief transfer-time interruptions.
The UPS accepts and delivers 200, 208, 220, 230 and 240 volt AC, matching international single-phase distribution standards. Compliance marks include CE, CSA, EAC, SASO and UL 1778, confirming the electrical safety envelope for rackmount deployment. The fixed voltage windows define the practical limits of the unit's automatic regulation capability. It is not for sites that operate outside this nominal voltage band.

The unit draws up to 1980 W at full load; all of that power eventually becomes heat, so plan rack cooling for roughly 1.98 kW of thermal output.
The UPS requires a 200–240 V AC source — 200 V, 208 V, 220 V, 230 V or 240 V — with a matching receptacle and circuit.
The UPS communicates via USB only; a separate USB-to-serial adapter or Tripp Lite network card is needed for legacy serial-only servers.
