The SR42UBMDEXP is a 42U mid-depth expansion rack designed to join other cabinets in a continuous row. It ships without side panels because its integrated baying tabs lock directly to adjacent enclosures. The frame accepts standard 19-inch EIA-310-E equipment up to 3000 lbs. Data-centre installers who need a single standalone cabinet should choose a model that includes side panels.

Fixed depth and rail adjustment range

The cabinet depth is 36 inches with vertical rails adjustable in quarter-inch increments from 4 to 31 inches. An easy-view depth index helps align front and rear rails consistently without repeated measuring. Equipment deeper than 31 inches cannot be mounted, and the 24-inch overall width limits cable-management accessories to those designed for 600 mm frames. No other mounting standards are supported.

Welded steel frame with lockable doors

The 186 lb welded steel body includes front and rear doors, a roof and stabilizing brackets. Square-hole cage-nut rails allow toolless 0U mounting for up to four compatible PDUs or cable managers on two vertical rails. Each rack space is numbered for quick reference. Fifty M6 cage nuts, screws and washers plus two door keys are included. Side panels must be sourced separately if the row ends are exposed.
