Front Door Kit for 42U Rack Enclosures

The Tripp Lite SRFFD4224 is a front door kit designed for standard-width 42U rack enclosure cabinets. It integrates three fan panels with four fans per panel, delivering twelve 120V fans in total. Two air filters measuring 18 x 30 x 1 in. are included. The kit attaches to the front of the rack to provide active cooling for mounted equipment.

Suited for standard-width 42U cabinets needing

This kit suits administrators operating standard-width 42U rack enclosures who require integrated front-door cooling with dust filtration. It is not for racks of a different height or width, nor for installations that rely solely on rear-door or top-mounted exhaust. Buyers without a compatible 42U enclosure cannot use this front door assembly.

Toolless mounting with included hardware and cords

Installation uses toolless mounting hardware supplied in the package. Three C13 to NEMA 5-15P power cords, each 6 ft (1.8 m) long, connect the fan panels to standard outlets. The kit also includes an SR1UBRUSH brush panel. Common issues include ensuring all twelve fans receive power from available circuits and aligning the perforated outer panel correctly on deep enclosures.

Questions about this item

Does the SRFFD4224 need a standard-width 42U rack enclosure to mount?

Yes, it is designed for standard-width 42U rack enclosure cabinets and includes toolless mounting hardware.

Will the three included C13 to NEMA 5-15P cords plug into my existing 120V PDU outlets?

Each 6 ft cord ends in a NEMA 5-15P plug, so they connect directly to standard 120V PDU or wall outlets.

How can I confirm the twelve fans are running after I install the door kit?

The fans draw power from the three C13 cords; when the plugs are live, all twelve fans spin and airflow passes through the perforated outer panel.
