2U Rack Rail Adapter Kit

This kit adapts a standard server rack for 2U equipment by adding deep mounting rails. It includes two adapter brackets and the complete fastener set of 16 M6 screws, cup washers and cage nuts. System integrators and data-centre technicians use it to secure deeper chassis in existing cabinets.

Mounting Hardware and Clearance

The brackets bolt directly to the rack’s vertical posts using the supplied cage nuts and screws, creating a deeper mounting surface without replacing the cabinet. All 16 fasteners are included so no separate hardware purchase is required. The kit frees up the original shallow rail positions for other devices.

Sustained Load Stability

The steel brackets and M6 hardware maintain alignment under the continuous weight of a fully populated 2U server. Vibration from rack-mounted fans and drives does not loosen the cage-nut connection over time. The installation guide provides torque guidance for a repeatable, secure fit.
