2U Center-Mounted Rack Shelf

The Tripp Lite SRSHELF2PCENTER is a steel rack shelf that occupies 2U of vertical space in a standard 2-post open frame rack. It provides a flat mounting surface for equipment such as monitors, wireless access points, or tower units that lack native rack ears. Hardware for installation is included with the unit.

Suits shallow racks and non-rack hardware

This shelf suits installers who need to place non-rackmount gear into a 2-post frame with a 21.5 in. deep surface rated for 100 lb. It does not suit cabinets or 4-post racks requiring front-and-rear rail support, nor buyers who need a deeper surface or a higher load rating than the specified capacity.

21.5 in. depth and 100 lb. capacity

The shelf depth is 21.5 inches and the maximum load is 100 pounds (45 kg). These two figures determine whether the shelf fits the rack depth and can safely hold the intended device. Vented construction allows passive airflow through the shelf surface.
