6U Wall-Mount Enclosure

The Tripp Lite SRW6UG is a black steel wall-mount rack enclosure that secures 6U of 19 in. equipment up to 16.5 in. deep. It suits network wiring closets, retail locations, classrooms and back offices where floor space is limited and gear must stay organised and out of the way.

Locking Vented Cabinet

The cabinet vents at the sides, top and bottom to promote passive airflow through the 41.9 cm usable depth. A front door with a shatter-resistant clear acrylic window lets you verify status lights without opening the lock, while the steel construction supports a maximum load of 200 lbs.

Optional Mobility Kit

The unit measures 14.50 in. high, 23.50 in. wide and 17.50 in. deep, weighing 28.66 lbs. It mounts directly to a wall, and an optional SRCASTER kit allows it to roll on the floor when wall mounting is not practical.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 6U wall-mount rack to the wall, and what step do installers often miss?

Secure the rack to wall studs using appropriate lag bolts for the 200 lb load rating; the step often missed is verifying stud alignment with the rack's mounting holes before drilling.

What maintenance will the acrylic front door and locking mechanism need over time?

Clean the shatter-resistant acrylic window with a non-abrasive cleaner to maintain clarity; lubricate the lock cylinder annually with graphite powder to prevent sticking.

What is the first limit reached when loading this 16.5 in deep enclosure with equipment?

The 200 lb maximum load capacity is typically reached before the 16.5 in depth limit when installing dense network switches or servers.
