SmartOnline 1000 VA double-conversion UPS

The Tripp Lite SmartOnline SUINT1000LCD2U is a rack-mountable on-line UPS rated at 1000 VA and 900 W. It accepts input voltages of 200, 208, 220, 230 and 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz. The unit delivers fully regulated sine-wave output with ±2 % voltage regulation in both online and battery modes. It is built for critical network closet, computer room and data center equipment.

Sustained battery backup at 900 W load

The internal valve-regulated lead-acid battery provides 4.70 minutes of run time at the full 900 W rating. After a discharge the battery recharges in 4.10 hours. Double-conversion topology isolates connected gear from raw mains at all times, so voltage regulation stays within ±2 % continuously without switching transients. This behaviour suits environments where power disturbances are frequent or prolonged.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

Double-conversion operation means the inverter runs constantly, producing steady fan airflow and consistent acoustic output. Input current scales with the 900 W load plus conversion losses, so circuit planning should account for the continuous draw. The rack-mountable 2U chassis fits standard enclosures and vents heat toward the rear, keeping front-to-rear airflow paths clear in dense cabinets.
