Tripp Lite U420-02M-RA USB-C cable

This 2 metre USB-C to USB-C cable carries data at 5 Gbps and delivers up to 60 W of power. It suits laptops, phones, tablets and external drives that charge or sync through a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. The male-to-male design connects host to peripheral without an adapter.

Right-angle plug for tight clearances

The right-angle connector on one end reduces strain where space behind the device is limited. Nickel-plated shells and gold-plated contacts resist corrosion. A 4.5 mm PVC jacket with a VW-1 rating protects the conductors.

Plug in and use

No driver installation is required on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS or Linux. Reversible USB-C tips insert either way up. The fixed 2 metre length cannot be shortened, so measure the run before ordering.

Questions about this item

What does the 5 Gbps data rate mean when I plug this cable into my laptop?

It lets you move files at up to 5 Gbps between the laptop and an external drive or dock, matching the USB 3.2 Gen 1 specification.

How does the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface limit charging speed?

The cable carries up to 60 W of Power Delivery, so charging is capped at 60 W even if the charger can supply more.

What clearance does the right-angle USB-C plug need behind my device?

The right-angle USB-C male plug exits parallel to the port, letting the 4.5 mm diameter cable run flat against the chassis in tight spaces.
