TRIQUEST 5450 3-in-1 Composite A/V Selector Switch Box surveillance accessory

SKU CH-N7Z6-BZWKG MPN 5450

Connects three composite A/V sources to one display via a manual selector switch and requires no external power

  • Connect three devices without swapping cables
  • Select sources with a simple input switch
  • No power adapter required for operation
  • Compact footprint fits tight spaces at 1.1 x 6.4 x 2.5-inches
  • Single composite output sends audio and video to TV

Three-device composite A/V switch

The TRIQUEST 5450 connects three composite video sources such as a DVD player, game console or VCR to a single TV input. A front-panel selector switch chooses the active device without unplugging cables. The unit requires no external power supply. It suits viewers who want to keep legacy equipment permanently connected.

Passive operation with no power draw

Because the switch draws no mains power, it adds no heat or fan noise to the installation. The compact enclosure measures approximately 1.1 by 6.4 by 2.5 inches and sits discreetly beside the display. Signal routing is entirely mechanical, so there is no active circuitry to generate interference. Users who need amplified or converted signals will need a different solution.

Bundled hardware only

The package contains the selector box itself and nothing else. No cables, remote control or mounting hardware are supplied, so buyers must provide their own composite RCA leads. The minimal bundle keeps the cost low but means extra purchases for a first-time setup. Installers who already have cables can deploy the switch immediately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 5450 selector without external power?

Connect each source to one of the three RCA composite inputs and run a single RCA composite cable from the output to the TV; the unit draws no power so there is no adapter to plug in.

What maintenance will the 5450 need over time?

Occasionally clean the RCA jacks with contact cleaner and verify the input select switch clicks firmly; no internal components require scheduled replacement.

What limit appears first when the 5450 runs continuously in a rack?

The passive design means heat is not a concern; the practical limit is the mechanical life of the input select switch after repeated switching cycles.
