TRITAN 60BS20H Sprocket for Chain Drives

This TRITAN 60BS20H sprocket fits 60 chain pitch and has 20 teeth. The finished bore measures 1 1/2 in with a 3/8 in keyway width and 3/16 in keyway depth. Two set screws lock the hub to the shaft for maintenance crews and OEM builders.

Hardened steel resists wear during continuous

Black oxide finish protects the steel teeth and hub against corrosion in steady running. The 4.794 in pitch diameter and 5.19 in outside diameter maintain accurate chain engagement over long shifts. Fixed bore construction keeps alignment stable without adjustable collars.

Compact hub limits heat build-up in the assembly

Hub diameter is 3 7/8 in and projection is .791 in, keeping rotating mass low. The 1 1/4 in length through bore distributes load evenly across the keyway. No lubrication fittings are included, so scheduled greasing is the operator responsibility.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 1 1/2 in bore sprocket generate when running continuously all day?

The steel sprocket itself produces no heat; any warmth comes from chain friction and the driven machinery, not from the 20-tooth, 5.19 in outside-diameter component.

What shaft and keyway dimensions must I already have for the 1 1/2 in fixed bore with 3/8 in wide by 3/16 in deep keyway to fit?

You need a 1 1/2 in diameter shaft machined with a standard 3/8 in wide keyway cut 3/16 in deep, plus clearance for the 3 7/8 in hub diameter and 1 1/4 in length through bore.

Will the 60 chain size sprocket with 4.794 in pitch diameter mesh correctly with the older 60-series roller chain I already own?

Yes, the 20-tooth sprocket is made for ANSI 60 chain (3/4 in pitch), so it will engage your existing 60-series chain as long as the chain is not excessively worn or stretched.
