Dual-band AC1200 coverage

The TROPRO AC1200 Wireless Range Extender adds dual-band Wi-Fi to areas your router cannot reach. It delivers up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and up to 866 Mbps on 5 GHz for up to 20 devices across 1292 sq ft. Four external antennas provide 360° signal penetration through walls and floors. The unit suits homes and small offices needing wider coverage without new cabling.

Low-draw thermal design

Power draw is 4.2 W and transmit power stays below 19 dBm under CE limits. Heat dissipates through the casing and side vents so the extender runs cool during continuous use. No active fan means silent operation in living spaces or bedrooms. The compact 15 x 15 x 13 cm housing weighs 0.250 kg and fits any standard socket.

WPS and web setup

A WPS button pairs the extender with compatible routers in seconds without an app. A reset button restores factory defaults if needed. The web interface handles network names, passwords and access control for both bands. Universal compatibility covers 99 % of routers on the market. No bundled software or additional accessories are included.

Questions about this item

How do I install the extender using the WPS button, and what step is often missed?

Press the WPS button on your router, then press the WPS button on the extender within two minutes. The step people miss is waiting for the signal LED to turn solid before moving the unit to its final location.

What maintenance will the extender need over time?

The shell and side cooling holes dissipate heat at 4.2 W, so the only upkeep is keeping those vents clear of dust to maintain the stated thermal range.

What is the first limit reached under sustained heavy traffic?

The 5 GHz radio caps at 866 Mbps and the 2.4 GHz radio at 300 Mbps, so combined throughput cannot exceed the 1200 Mbps aggregate even with 20 connected devices.
