Ready-to-use 1080p USB webcam

The TROPRO Tw6 is a plug-and-play USB 2.0 camera that delivers 1920 x 1080 video at 30 fps. It works with Windows XP through Windows 10 and Mac OSX without any driver installation. The built-in CMOS sensor and optical lens provide clear images for calls, streaming and conferencing.

Bundled tripod cover and dual mics

An expandable tripod lets you place the camera on a desk instead of clipping it to a monitor. A rotary privacy cover blocks the lens when the webcam is not in use. Two integrated microphones with noise reduction capture speech up to 6 m away. The 1.5 m cable gives extra reach for desktop setups.

USB 2.0 bandwidth and fixed frame rate

The USB 2.0 interface limits the stream to 1080p at 30 fps, so higher resolutions or faster frame rates are not possible. Auto focus adjusts continuously but cannot be locked manually. Some desktop ports may not supply enough power; the maker advises using a motherboard-connected port if flickering occurs.

Questions about this item

Will the built-in privacy cover on the Tw6 webcam need replacement after frequent daily use?

The rotary privacy cover is integrated into the camera body and has no separate replacement schedule; it is designed to last for the life of the webcam under normal operation.

What limits video quality first during long streaming sessions at 1080p and 30 fps?

The USB 2.0 interface caps bandwidth, so sustained 1920 x 1080 capture at 30 fps is the maximum the connection can sustain without compression artefacts.

How much heat or noise does the Tw6 produce when running all day on a desktop?

The webcam draws power only from the USB port, has no fan or moving parts, and stays cool and silent during continuous use.
