True Temper 36-Inch Axe Handle

This True Temper replacement handle measures 36 inches in length and is designed for single-bit axes. It suits homeowners and landscapers who need a direct-fit spare for a damaged or worn original handle.

Upgrade From Cracked Wooden Handles

The handle replaces split, splintered or loose shafts that make an axe unsafe to swing. The jump is worth it when the existing handle shows visible cracks, excessive play in the eye or has absorbed enough moisture to weaken the grain.

Straightforward Press-Fit Installation

Installation follows the traditional press-fit method: clean the axe eye, apply wood glue if desired and drive the handle home with a wooden mallet. Common issues include an oversized eye that requires shimming or a handle that seats crooked if not aligned squarely before the final taps.
