Built for Clearing Snow

The True Temper snow shovel is a steel-blade pusher designed for moving snow from driveways and walkways. Its 24 in wide blade and 10 in height cover a broad path with each pass. The 42 in wood handle ends in a D-grip for two-handed control. The unit weighs 7 lb 2 oz.

Suited for Residential Driveways

Homeowners who need a sturdy pusher for typical snowfall will find the wide steel blade effective. The long wood handle reduces bending for most adults. Buyers who want a lightweight scoop for lifting and throwing deep drifts should look at a different design. Anyone needing a metal handle or a narrower blade for tight spaces will not be served by this model.

Simple Assembly and Use

The shovel arrives as a single piece with no assembly required; the D-grip is fixed to the wood shaft. Wood handles can absorb moisture over time, so storing the tool dry helps prevent swelling or splintering. The steel blade edge may dull on abrasive pavement, making pushing harder on rough surfaces. Check the grip periodically for looseness after heavy use.

Questions about this item

What do I need to clear snow with this 24 in steel blade shovel?

You only need the shovel itself; the 42 in wood D-grip handle is already attached and the 24 in steel blade is ready to push snow.

Can I keep using my older plastic shovel alongside this steel blade model?

Yes, the 10 in blade height and steel construction let this pusher handle heavier loads while your lighter shovel clears steps or tight corners.

How can I tell the 42 in wood D-grip handle is secure after assembly?

The D-grip should sit firmly on the wood shaft with no wobble, and the 7 lb 2 oz total weight should feel balanced when you push the 24 in blade.
