18 in Aluminum Blade Snow Shovel

This Westward snow shovel features an 18 in wide aluminum blade mounted on a 36 in wood handle with a D-grip. It weighs 4 lb and is built for clearing snow from driveways and walkways. The lightweight blade reduces strain during repeated lifting.

Wood Handle Limits in Heavy Wet Snow

A 36 in wood handle provides reach but can flex under dense, wet snow loads. The D-grip improves leverage yet the natural material may absorb moisture over time. Users clearing deep or compacted drifts should expect more shaft deflection than with fibreglass or steel alternatives.

18 in Blade Width Sets Clearing Speed

The 18 in blade width determines how much snow moves per pass and whether the shovel fits between parked cars or narrow steps. Wider blades clear open areas faster but become heavy when full; narrower blades suit tight spaces but require more strokes. Choose based on the typical area you clear.
