Product Purpose

The Tumella TU-RV-001-Black-L1 is a 46" reverse folding umbrella built for adult commuters and travellers who need reliable rain protection. Its inverted canopy traps water inside when closed, preventing wet floors, seats or bags. Automatic opening allows one-hand deployment when stepping out of a vehicle or doorway. The compact 12.2" folded length fits easily into backpacks, briefcases or car door pockets.

Suitability

This umbrella suits city professionals, students and frequent flyers who want a wind-resistant canopy that folds inward to keep surroundings dry. Buyers who need coverage for more than one person should look at a larger model. Anyone requiring a manual open mechanism or a non-inverted folding style will not find those features here.

Sustained Use

The nine reinforced fiberglass ribs flex under strong gusts without snapping or flipping the canopy inside out. The reverse folding action remains smooth after repeated daily cycles, keeping the wet surface contained each time. The 360° patterned fabric resists fading through seasonal use, while the premium grip stays comfortable during long walks in persistent rain.

Questions about this item

Does the 46" canopy require a specific door clearance to open inside a vehicle?

The reverse folding design lets you open the umbrella through a narrow gap before stepping out, so a standard car door opening is sufficient.

Will the 9 reinforced fiberglass ribs withstand gusts that would flip a standard metal-rib umbrella?

The 9 ultra-flex fiberglass ribs are engineered to bend without breaking, keeping the canopy stable in strong winds where ordinary frames invert.

How can I confirm the inverted fold is sealing wet fabric away from my bag after closing?

When fully collapsed the wet canopy sits inside the dry outer layer, and the folded length measures 12.2 inches — if it matches that figure the seal is engaged.
