What it is

Turnstone Cables CAT6 Plenum cable is a 1000 ft bulk roll of 23 AWG solid bare copper UTP with a pink CMP-rated jacket. It is built for installers and IT teams running horizontal runs through plenum spaces in commercial or residential buildings.

Build fit

The cable pulls from an easy-pull box with sequential foot markings and a centre spline that resists twists and kinks. The plenum rating satisfies fire-code requirements for air-handling spaces, while the unshielded design keeps termination simple with standard RJ45 connectors.

Capacity headroom

Rated to 550 MHz, the cable supports Fast, Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet over the full 100 m channel. It meets TIA/EIA 568-C.2, so it handles current multi-gigabit traffic; runs beyond 100 m or shielded environments will need a different solution.

The 550 MHz bandwidth supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet up to 55 metres per the standard.

Does the plenum jacket or solid copper add noticeable heat or noise when the cable runs all day?

Passive copper cable produces no noise and negligible heat under normal network loads.

What connectors or tools must I already have to terminate this 1000 ft pull-box cable?

RJ45 plugs or keystone jacks plus a compatible crimp or punch-down tool are required.
