DC-to-DC PoE injector for 12 V battery systems

The TP-DCDC-1248GD-HP converts a 10-15 VDC battery supply into a regulated 56 VDC output that complies with 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet. It delivers up to 35 W through a shielded RJ45 jack while passing Gigabit Ethernet data on the same cable. The unit injects power on the unused pairs 4,5 and 7,8.

Fits between a low-voltage battery and a PoE device

Connect the DC input to a 12 V nominal battery bank and run a single Ethernet cable to the powered device. The integrated injector eliminates the need for a separate PoE midspan or AC mains supply at the remote site. A shielded RJ45 data input accepts the network link and the output jack carries both data and power.

Replaces AC-dependent PoE injectors in off-grid

Use it where mains power is unavailable but a 12 V battery system exists, such as solar-powered cameras or remote wireless bridges. The step-up design is not suitable for installations that already provide 48 VDC or 56 VDC directly. Buyers who need higher than 35 W PoE output or input voltages outside the 10-15 VDC range cannot use this converter.
