White rectangular access reader with NFC area and PoE+ port

Ubiquiti Networks

Ubiquiti Access Ultra UA-Ultra access reader hub

SKU CH-BQC5-9TDN5

An access reader with built-in hub controls a single door via NFC card or mobile app using PoE+ power and IP55 weather resistance

Model Access Ultra

  • Complete single-door control from one integrated device
  • Lock terminal and exit request input for full wiring
  • Unlock via NFC card or UniFi Identity mobile app
  • PoE+ connectivity simplifies installation and power
  • IP55 rated for outdoor use from -30 to 40 °C

Single-door access reader with integrated hub

The Ubiquiti Access Ultra combines an NFC reader and controller in one PoE+-powered unit. It serves a single entry point and unlocks via card or the UniFi Identity mobile app. The device is built for new installations that want a compact, all-in-one solution.

IP55-rated enclosure with lock and exit terminals

The weather-resistant housing operates from -30 to 40 °C and mounts directly at the door. A 12 V DC, 1 A lock terminal drives the strike or maglock, while an exit-request input supports a push-button or motion sensor. PoE+ delivers both power and data over a single cable.

Not compatible with standalone Access Hubs

This reader hub functions independently and cannot be paired with separate Access Hub units. Buyers who want a multi-door system managed by a central hub must choose a different architecture. The integrated design limits expansion to the single door it controls.

Questions about this item

What does the PoE+ connection cap in practice?

The single PoE+ port powers the reader and supplies the lock terminal at 12V DC, 1A.

What physical mounting does the IP55 rating allow?

IP55 weather resistance lets it mount outdoors from -30 to 40 °C.

How is the reader installed, and what step is often missed?

Connect PoE+ for power and data, wire the lock terminal and exit request input, then adopt in UniFi Access — skipping adoption leaves the door unmanaged.
