Whole-Home Mesh Kit

The Ubiquiti AmpliFi Instant System pairs a router with a MeshPoint to deliver dual-band Wi-Fi 5 across roughly 4,000 square feet. A 1.21-inch grayscale touchscreen on the router shows live download and upload speeds, while the AmpliFi app handles setup and network management. One Gigabit Ethernet port and a WAN port provide wired uplinks for the main unit.

Suits homes wanting simple coverage expansion

Households that want to eliminate dead zones without running cables will appreciate the included MeshPoint and app-guided installation. Buyers who need multiple wired LAN ports on the router itself or who require WPA3 encryption should look at other solutions, as this kit offers only a single LAN jack and WPA2-PSK security.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 radio

The router operates at 300 megabits per second on the 2.4 gigahertz band and 867 megabits per second on the 5 gigahertz band under the 802.11ac standard. This throughput ceiling determines whether the system can satisfy your streaming, gaming or work-from-home demands.
