Long-range 5 GHz PtMP client radio with integrated antenna delivering 600 Mbit/s throughput and 1024QAM modulation
The Ubiquiti Networks LTU-LR-US is a 5 GHz wireless access point built for Point-to-MultiPoint deployments. It functions as a long-range radio client paired with an LTU-Rocket base station. The integrated antenna is designed specifically for Customer Premises Equipment use. It suits installers extending connectivity to remote cameras, sensors or other wireless devices.
Proprietary LTU technology replaces standard 802.11 Wi-Fi constraints to deliver 600 Mbit/s throughput. The radio supports 1024QAM modulation across selectable channel widths from 10 MHz to 50 MHz. A single RJ-45 port provides the wired uplink for the link. This combination frees the installer from fixed channel plans while maintaining a dedicated PtMP architecture.
The LTU protocol maintains consistent throughput over long distances without the overhead of conventional Wi-Fi contention. Adaptive modulation holds the link stable as signal conditions shift across a wide-area sector. The integrated antenna pattern keeps gain focused on the base station rather than scattering energy. The radio is not intended for mobile client access or omnidirectional coverage.

The radio is rated for 600 Mbit/s maximum throughput, and that link-speed limit is reached before any other bottleneck in sustained PtMP operation.
The datasheet supplies no thermal or acoustic figures, so the only confirmed detail is that the device draws power from a single RJ-45 PoE connection.
The LTU-LR-US is designed exclusively as a PtMP CPE and requires an LTU-Rocket base station operating in the same 5 GHz band.
