Ubiquiti Networks

Ubiquiti Networks LTU Rocket 600 Mbit/s Wireless Access Point

SKU CH-2BX1-G5CPX

A 5 GHz PtMP access point delivering 600 Mbit/s throughput with 2+ Mpps processing, proprietary RF filtering, GPS sync, and flexible 10/20/30/40/50 MHz channel widths for interference avoidance

  • Proprietary LTU technology delivers 600 Mbit/s PtMP throughput
  • 2+ Mpps processing handles dense subscriber traffic efficiently
  • Flexible GPS synchronisation reduces co-channel interference across sectors
  • Independent 10/20/30/40/50 MHz TX and RX channels avoid local noise
  • Custom co-processor reserves headroom for future firmware upgrades

Point-to-MultiPoint 5 GHz Access Point

The LTU Rocket is a 5 GHz wireless access point built for Point-to-MultiPoint deployments. It uses Ubiquiti's proprietary LTU technology and includes a custom co-processor for future performance and feature upgrades. Designed for ISPs and network operators who need scalable PtMP infrastructure.

Flexible channel widths from 10 to 50 MHz

Channel width flexibility at 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 MHz allows independent TX and RX frequency configurations anywhere within the radio band to avoid local interference. This replaces rigid fixed-width radios that cannot adapt to noisy environments. The jump is worth it when spectrum congestion demands granular channel planning.

2+ Mpps processing with proprietary RF filtering

Sustained load is handled by 2+ Mpps processing combined with proprietary RF filtering and flexible GPS sync for superior performance. The custom co-processor provides headroom for future firmware upgrades that extend capacity without hardware changes. Not for buyers who need omnidirectional coverage or client-access Wi-Fi.

Questions about this item

What pole diameter does the LTU-Rocket's mounting bracket support?

The bracket accepts standard pole diameters up to 60 mm for vertical or horizontal alignment.

Which step is most often missed when GPS-syncing multiple LTU-Rockets?

After mounting, enable GPS sync in the controller and verify each unit reports a valid satellite lock before saving the PtMP profile.

When should the co-processor firmware be updated on an LTU-Rocket?

Apply co-processor firmware releases from the controller whenever a new version appears; they add performance improvements and future feature support.
