Ubiquiti Networks M8H 1080P WiFi Camera

The Ubiquiti Networks M8H is a 1080P WiFi network camera designed for discreet indoor monitoring. It functions as a dual USB charger with USB-A and USB-C ports while recording video. The device connects to a 2.4 GHz wireless network for remote viewing via a smartphone app. It suits homeowners wanting a covert nanny cam or office monitor.

Ideal for covert indoor monitoring.

This camera suits users needing a hidden indoor security device that blends into a room as a standard charger. It supports motion detection and local recording to a micro SD card. Buyers requiring weatherproof housing or water resistance should look elsewhere, as the unit is not water-resistant. It also lacks wired network connectivity options.

2.4 GHz wireless link at up to 54 Mbps

The camera operates on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection with a maximum wireless data rate of 54 Mbps. This bandwidth governs live streaming quality and remote access responsiveness. The 90° wide-angle lens captures 1920×1080 footage within that connection constraint. Ensure the installation location has adequate 2.4 GHz signal coverage.

Questions about this item

Does the M8H come with a micro SD card or do I need to buy one separately?

The package contains only the camera; a micro SD card is not included and must be purchased separately for local recording when WiFi is unavailable.

Which wireless frequency should I select on my router for the M8H to connect?

The camera operates on 2.4 GHz WiFi only, so ensure your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network for the initial setup and ongoing remote viewing.

What does the 1080P resolution mean for the footage I will actually see?

1080P provides 1920×1080 full HD video through a 90° wide-angle lens, giving clear, detailed coverage of a room with fewer blind spots.
