Wireless 1080p doorbell kit with indoor chime

This Ubiquiti N52 kit pairs a battery-powered 1080p camera with a plug-in indoor receiver. It suits homeowners or apartment residents who want visitor alerts without running wires to a transformer. The AI humanoid filter reduces notifications from pets or passing cars. Cloud recording requires a subscription after any trial period.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi limits range and bandwidth

The camera connects on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at up to 54 Mbps using WEP 64/128-bit security. Thick walls, metal doors or competing networks can weaken the signal between the doorbell and the router. WEP is an older encryption method that modern routers may disable by default. Continuous 1080p streaming will consume a noticeable share of available airtime on a busy 2.4 GHz channel.

Mount the camera and plug in the receiver

The camera includes a bracket for wall or corner mounting; the receiver simply plugs into a 100–240 V AC outlet. Pairing is done through the mobile app on a 2.4 GHz network. Common issues include WEP being blocked by the router, the phone being on 5 GHz during setup, or the chime volume being too low for distant rooms. The battery must be recharged periodically depending on traffic.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the single-camera kit or add more cameras later?

The box includes one camera and one indoor receiver; the system supports multiple receivers for whole-home coverage but the listing only sells the single-camera bundle.

What does 1080p actually look like on my phone at night?

The camera streams 1080p full HD with night vision, so live view and recordings stay clear in low light when you check the mobile app.

Will the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi limit my video quality or range?

The doorbell connects on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at up to 54 Mbps, which is sufficient for 1080p streaming but may struggle through thick walls or heavy interference.
