Compact indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi 5 access point covers 115 m², supports 200+ users and powers via PoE
The Ubiquiti Swiss Army Knife UK-Ultra is a compact wireless access point built for indoor and outdoor deployment. It supports up to 200 connected clients and delivers a coverage area of 115 m² (1,250 ft²) using its internal antenna. Power over Ethernet simplifies cabling, while the Gigabit RJ-45 uplink handles backhaul traffic. The weatherproof enclosure and versatile mounting options suit walls, ceilings or poles.
The dual-band radio provides a maximum data rate of 866.7 Mbps on the 5 GHz band (80 MHz channel width) and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (40 MHz channel width). Both bands use 2x2 DL MU-MIMO with four spatial streams total. In dense environments with many simultaneous users, the 200-client capacity and available airtime become the practical limit before the radio throughput ceiling is reached.
The unit draws a maximum of 8 W from a PoE source, removing the need for a local power outlet. Two RP-SMA connectors allow optional external antennas to extend range or shape coverage patterns. Status LEDs show power state and mesh link quality at a glance. The white enclosure measures 137 x 84 x 34 mm and meets CE, FCC and IC certifications plus NDAA compliance.

Yes, the 2.4 GHz radio supports 802.11n data rates from 6.5 Mbps to 300 Mbps (MCS0‑15, HT 20/40), so legacy Wi-Fi 5 clients connect normally.
The front LED shows white or blue for power status, while four blue mesh‑signal LEDs indicate wireless link health and backhaul strength.
The unit includes the compact indoor/outdoor AP with internal antennas and dual RP‑SMA ports; a PoE injector or PoE switch delivering up to 8 W is required but not supplied.
