Category 6 Ethernet cable

This white Category 6 cable runs 997.38 ft and uses 23 AWG conductors. It supports data transfer rates up to 10 Gbit/s and terminates in RJ-45 connectors. The unshielded jacket suits standard indoor network runs.

Installers pulling long indoor runs

The 997.38 ft length serves projects that need a single continuous pull through walls or ceilings. Buyers who need shielded cable for noisy environments or outdoor-rated jackets should look elsewhere.

23 AWG conductor gauge

The 23 AWG thickness determines insertion loss and bend radius for the 10 Gbit/s rating. Verify that your patch panels, keystones and pathway fill limits accept this gauge before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 997.38 ft reel or a shorter length for my install?

The 997.38 ft reel is designed for long runs through walls or ceilings; buy the exact length you need plus a small margin for terminations.

What does the 10 Gbit/s rating mean when the cable is installed in a real network?

The cable is rated for 10 Gbit/s over its full Category 6 specification; actual throughput depends on the connected switches, routers and NICs.

How does the RJ-45 interface and Cat6 standard limit performance in practice?

The RJ-45 connectors and Cat6 rating support 10 Gbit/s; the 23 AWG conductors keep insertion loss low for the full 997.38 ft length.
