White circular ceiling-mount access point with two gigabit ports

Ubiquiti Networks

Ubiquiti Networks UniFi UAP-AC-PRO wireless router

SKU CH-86YS-EFDM1

Dual-band wireless access point with 3x3 MIMO delivering 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps at 5 GHz, powered by 802.3 af PoE for indoor or outdoor deployment

  • Dual-band coverage with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios
  • Up to 450 Mbps throughput on the 2.4 GHz band
  • Up to 1300 Mbps throughput on the 5 GHz band
  • 3x3 MIMO on each band for multi-device capacity
  • Gigabit Ethernet and 802.3 af PoE for simple deployment

Enterprise Wi-Fi Access Point

The Ubiquiti Networks UniFi UAP-AC-PRO is a dual-band wireless access point designed for business environments that need managed Wi-Fi across indoor or outdoor spaces. It runs RouterOS and integrates with the UniFi controller for central configuration of multiple units. This device suits IT teams deploying scalable enterprise wireless systems rather than standalone home routers.

Dual-Radio 3x3 802.11ac MIMO

The single specification that decides fit is the simultaneous dual-band 3x3 MIMO implementation on 802.11ac, delivering 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps at 5 GHz with 22 dBm transmit power on each band. Buyers needing higher spatial-stream counts, newer Wi-Fi generations or dedicated backhaul radios will not find them here.

Sustained Gigabit Throughput

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports and 802.3 af PoE power allow continuous line-rate forwarding without relying on a separate power adapter. The 122 m range rating reflects steady-state coverage in typical deployments, not peak burst performance. Environments requiring multi-gigabit uplinks or passive PoE variants should verify compatibility before purchase.

Questions about this item

What real-world throughput can I expect from the 1300 Mbps 5 GHz radio once the access point is installed?

The 1300 Mbps figure is the maximum PHY rate for a 3×3 802.11ac link; actual throughput will be lower and depends on client capabilities, channel width, interference and distance.

How does the 802.3 af PoE input limit what the unit can do?

The access point draws its power through the 802.3 af PoE connection, so the available power budget at the switch port determines whether both radios and the two Gigabit Ethernet ports can run at full capacity.

What mounting options suit the 122 m outdoor range claim?

The AP is rated for indoor or outdoor use and weighs 12.35 ounces; it can be pole- or wall-mounted with the included hardware to achieve the stated 122 m coverage.
