Industrial 4K PTZ Camera

The Ubiquiti Networks UVC-AI-PTZ-B is an industrial-grade PTZ IP camera capturing 4K video at 3840 x 2160 resolution and 30 fps. It features a 1/1.8" 8MP sensor with 22x optical zoom and a lens range of 6.36-138.5 mm. The unit runs on a quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor and integrates with the UniFi Protect application suite.

Suited for Large-Area Surveillance

This camera suits installers needing wide-area coverage with 360° endless pan and 120° tilt range. AI capabilities include face recognition, license plate recognition, and smart detections for people, vehicles, and animals. IR night vision reaches 100 m. Buyers needing only a fixed wide-angle view or those without PoE++ infrastructure should consider simpler fixed cameras instead.

PoE++ Power and Versatile Mounting

Installation uses a single GbE RJ45 port for PoE++ power delivery at up to 51W, requiring a compatible 42.557V DC supply or switch. The IP66-rated aluminum alloy and polycarbonate enclosure supports wall, pole, or desk-stand mounting with included hardware. A factory-reset button and MicroSD expansion slot are accessible on the body. Ensure cabling and switch ports meet the PoE++ power budget before deployment.

Questions about this item

What power source must I already have to run the 51 W PoE++ camera?

You need a PoE++ injector or switch that can deliver up to 51 W at the supported 42.557 V DC range.

Will the Gigabit Ethernet port work with my existing 100 Mbps network switch?

Yes, the GbE RJ45 port auto-negotiates down to 100 Mbps, so the camera will operate on older Fast Ethernet infrastructure.

How can I confirm the 22x optical zoom is functioning after installation?

In the UniFi Protect interface, use the PTZ controls to move from the 59.8° wide view to the 3° tele view and verify smooth, lossless magnification across the full 22x range.
